Meet Jess
Jess believes it’s important to find a counselor with whom you feel safe. She supports individuals in strengthening their self-awareness, practicing acceptance, and developing insight. And will walk alongside you during moments of growth and uncertainty.
A lot of what is done in session relates to vulnerability. It takes a great deal of vulnerability to express and explore our thoughts with honesty. The counseling process guides us to examine our behavior, embrace change, and lean into meaning.
As a young person, Jess experimented with translating my emotions into art. Later, Jess found most clinicians weren’t able to move between traditional talk therapy and a visual modality. For this reason, Jess chose to pursue both Counseling and Art Therapy. Some folks Jess works with choose to incorporate artmaking into our sessions.
Those closest to Jess know my deep and curious mind. Jess works to gain an understanding of the unique and dynamic perspectives of my clients. And aim to build a sincere therapeutic alliance with each individual Jess walks alongside.
What is one piece of advice that you would
give someone considering counseling?
“Therapy is your support tool, and it evolves as your needs evolve. Some folks seek counseling to work through a particular issue. Others meet with a therapist to maintain their mental health progress. Regardless of where you are in life, you deserve to feel seen and heard.”
