Meet Jamee
Jamee believes that people are creative, resourceful, and relational. Counseling is a place for people to unpack some of their concerns, share their story and learn to practice self evaluation.
Jamee’s holistic approach to counseling draws from a strengths-based perspective using solutions-focused techniques, mindfulness, existential philosophy & person-oriented therapies. Essentially this means that you will work with Jamee to create a dynamic relationship through sharing your thoughts, feelings, and relevant experiences.
While there may be occasions when change is easy or quick, more often change will be slow, involving a lot of effort. By actively participating in sessions people can view difficult situations with awareness, acceptance and kindness.
What is one piece of advice that you would
give someone considering counseling?
“Don’t be afraid to give it a try! It can take some time to feel comfortable with the process, but it is so worth it. Also, going to counseling does not make you weird or weak. I'm not here to judge you, I am here to hold space for you.”
